We believe that the needs of startups are very different from the needs of large corporations. Startup companies are normally looking to create as strong, international, IP position, with limited funds and flexible budgets.
Our offices are located at the hearts of the largest startup hubs in the world. We have served hundreds of startups over the last 9 years, and we dare to believe that we can provide not only IP advise, but also pratical advise, with an international flavor, and much know-how on the differences between various jurisdictions.
Our Startup-Tailored Policies
Our experience taught us that in view of the profound importance of each and every patent application at the initial stages, startups are even more sensitive to high quality services than large corporations. However, we have also learnt that startup companies need certainty and transparancy to be able to plan.
We therefore adopted a “free advise / no hourly charges” policy. We do not charge our clients for every phone call or consultation. We only charge for actions – a patent application drafted or a response to a search report prepared.
Furthermore, we have a “no surprises” policy. This means that we do not send a bill before we have received a clear and written confirmation from our client to proceed with a particular service, and a confirmation to the price.
We do not charge for most of the administrative actions such as forwarding documents received from the patent offices, and we provide commentary to patent office document, but only if we are asked to do that and if our clients are willing to pay for it.
